Woman hospitalised after car rollover at Tamborine

UPDATE @ 9.30 AM | A WOMAN has been rescued after becoming trapped in an overturned car at Tamborine this morning.

The vehicle rolled on Beaudesert Beenleigh Road just after 8.30am, with emergency crews quickly rushing to the scene.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said a woman, believed to be aged in her 70s, was encapsulated in the vehicle for a short time before being freed.


She was treated by paramedics for minor injuries and has since been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.


EARLIER @ 8.45 AM | EMERGENCY crews are currently at the scene of a car rollover at Tamborine.

The accident happened on Beaudesert Beenleigh Road just after 8.30am.

It’s understood at least one person is trapped in the vehicle, with a rescue operation currently underway.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads says delays are expected, with the road partially blocked.

Police are urging motorists to avoid the area.
