19yo man charged after teenage girl stabbed at Gold Coast home

UPDATE @ 3.00pm | A man has fronted court charged over the stabbing of a teenage girl at Palm Beach.

Brandon Walker-West, 19 is accused of stabbing the girl in the chest outside a unit block on Nalla Court on Sunday afternoon.

It’s claimed the alleged stabbing was the result of an ongoing feud between two families.

Walker-West did not appear in person when his case was mentioned briefly in the Southport Magistrates Court.

His matter has been adjourned until next Monday when he is expected to apply for bail.

EARLIER @ 5:20am, February 4 | A MAN has been charged after a teenage girl was stabbed during a fight in Palm Beach.

Police were called to a complex in Nalla Drive around 4pm on Sunday following reports of an altercation involving four people.

When they arrived they found the 17-year-old girl with a stab wound to her chest.

She remains in the Gold Coast University Hospital this morning in a stable condition.

A 19-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.

EARLIER at 8:00 PM February 3 | A TEENAGE girl is recovering in hospital after being stabbed during a disturbance in Palm Beach.

Emergency services were called to a private residence on Nalla Court just after 4pm where they found the 17-year-old with a stab wound to her chest.

Paramedics worked on the girl at the scene before rushing her to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

In a statement on Sunday night, the Queensland Police Service confirmed they were called to reports of a disturbance between four people at the address.

“During the altercation, a 17-year-old girl received a stab wound to the chest,” the statement said.

“A crime scene has been declared and a 19-year-old man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.”

Police said all four people are known to each other.

UPDATE at 5:45 PM | A TEENAGE girl is in a serious condition after reportedly being stabbed at a house on the Gold Coast.

Paramedics were called to reports of a wounding at home on Nalla Court in Palm Beach just after 4pm.

It’s understood they arrived at the house to find the girl, believed to be 17-years-old, with a stab wound to her chest.

Paramedics worked on the teen at the scene before rushing her to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

The girl was transported in a serious condition and accompanied by a critical care paramedic in the back of the ambulance.

A young man, reported to be 19-years-old, is “assisting police with their inquiries”.

No further information was available at the time of writing.

FIRST AT 5:20 PM | ONE person has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after reportedly being stabbed at a house on the Gold Coast.

Queensland Ambulance said paramedics worked on the patient at the scene before rushing them to hospital.

They were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

A critical care paramedic accompanied the patient in the ambulance.

The patient’s gender and age was not immediately known.
