Emergency services rush to large house fire in Pimpama

Several crews have rushed to the scene of a house fire burning in Pimpama.

The blaze broke out at a property along Yawalpah Road around 3.00am.

Witnesses said the house looked abandoned, and is situated a couple of hundred metres away from the road, therefore not threatening any nearby properties.

Four fire crews spent around 40 minutes getting the blaze under control, then remained on scene until 5.00am dampening down hot spots.

Paramedics were also called to the scene, though remained on standby, with no injuries reported.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services say they won’t be sending a fire investigator back to the scene today.

It’s unclear how the blaze started.
