Emergency services rush to laundromat fire, Ashmore

A Gold Coast laundromat business has escaped serious damage after a fire broke out there last night.

Emergency services rushed to the workplace around 6.00pm, following reports of a blaze.

On arrival, three Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crews took just minutes to extinguish a reported ‘fire in a structure’.

The flames were out by 6.20pm, but fire fighters remained on scene doing atmospheric monitoring.

The area was deemed safe around 7.00pm, and left in the hands of the owner.

Paramedics were on scene for the duration of the fire as well, but luckily no people required transport to hospital.
