Plane forced to make emergency landing on Qld beach
A light plane has managed to land safely after coming down near waters north of Townsville this morning.
Emergency services rushed to Saunders Beach just after 9.30am following reports a plane had come down.
It’s believed the plane suffered engine troubles, forcing it to make an emergency landing on the beach.
The pilot, a man in his 60s, was the only person on board.
He is currently being treated by paramedics at the scene.
