Emergency services work to free trapped driver after three truck collision

Three trucks have been involved in a crash on the M7 near Cecil Hills this morning.

Just after 10.30am, emergency services received reports that three trucks had collided northbound on the M7, 200m south of the Elizabeth Drive overpass, at Cecil Hills.

One driver is trapped inside a vehicle and emergency services at the scene working to free the 34-year-old.

One truck, a semi-trailer, with a male driver aged 44, was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

A third truck, a semi-trailer, the male driver aged 23, was also not injured and taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

All north bound lanes are currently closed, traffic is being diverted onto Elizabeth Drive and back onto the M7 on ramp at Cecil Hills.

An investigation has commenced and Metropolitan Crash Investigators are attending the location.

Police are asking motorists to avoid the area where possible and refer to www.livetraffic.com for road closure updates.
