Emergent situation declared as truck carrying dangerous chemicals rolls in Qld
An emergent situation has been declared after a B-Double truck carrying liquid Anhydrous Ammonia rolled at Cunninghams Gap.
Police believe the driver lost control on the Cunningham Highway, approximately 1km on the Warwick side of the helipad at around 9pm last night.
He miraculously escaped unharmed.
The emergent declaration covers Cunningham Highway between Lake Moogerah Road, Aratula and Fisher Park truck stop, Maryvale.
There is a 500m exclusion area around the truck due to the nature of the chemical.
The Gap remains closed this morning with emergency crews working to transfer the liquid into another truck before removing it from the scene.
