Thousands of excited kids and their families are expected to flock to the Kids Week Marquee taking pride of place right on the sand at Surfers Paradise Beach, where young audiences will delight at the antics of their favourite characters, including the Minions, Barbie, Bananas in Pyjamas, Blinky Bill and Ronald McDonald, performing in song-and-dance extravaganzas as well as cuddling up with young fans for that special photo.
This year’s program also offers children the chance to get active, creative and hands-on with a workshop series including the Conscious Kids Camp, running two sessions daily with yoga, crossfit, colouring-in and vision boards.
Along the foreshore, kids can take part in many other daily activities including craft workshops, hair braiding, face painting, balloon twisting, and storytelling.
And in fine Surfers Paradise tradition, Kids Week will end in a celebratory beachfront fireworks finale at 6:30pm on Friday 25 September.
Surfers Paradise Alliance CEO Mike Winlaw said the incredible array of entertainment during Kids Week was a big drawcard for local families and visitors looking to soak up the fun-and-sun atmosphere of Surfers Paradise.
“These school holidays, the young and young-at-heart will delight in the many festivities highlighting Surfers Paradise as the playground of fun, all set against the iconic backdrop of the foreshore.
The Surfers Kids Club will also run throughout the celebration, with more than 2500 children already signed up to take advantage of free fun and games on offer, including free member pack on joining and special deals at a range of Surfers Paradise attractions, as well as offers including a birthday gift.
