Songwriters from all across Queensland are now invited to enter their songs in the 2017 Queensland Music Awards, with submissions officially opening today.
The 2017 QMAs span 23 categories, including genre (Pop, Rock, Blues/Roots, Country, Urban, Folk/Singer Songwriter, World, Jazz, Electronic/Dance, Heavy), Regional, Video and Schools.
Published and unpublished original songwriters from all across Queensland are encouraged to submit their entries for the 2017 awards before midnight December 4 via the Queensland Music Awards website.

Over 50 music industry professionals from around the world, include media, managers, A&R representatives, label directors and publishers, are set to help judge song entries.
Gold Coast singer-songwriter Amy Shark describes winning the 2016 Pop Award as a game changer. “Even if you only have 1 song, send it in. The opportunities are endless and no matter what anyone tells me, I know deep down, the QLD Music Awards were the kick-start to the success I have achieved in 2016.”
The 2017 Awards ceremony will take place at Brisbane Powerhouse on Monday 27 March 2017 – tickets will be available to the general public early next year.
