Erebus Motorsport confirms signing of David Reynolds

Erebus Motorsport has today announced the signing of current V8 Supercar Championship contender David Reynolds for the 2016 season.

The 30-year-old has been released by Prodrive Racing Australia and will replace Tekno-bound Will Davison.

Reynolds is set to take the wheel of the E63 AMG and says he is looking forward to the challenge.

“Although I have had a terrific four years at PRA, I am looking forward to a positive change as the lead driver with Erebus,” Reynolds said.

The straight talking Victorian has finished inside the top ten twice in the past three seasons of V8 Supercars and looks set to claim his best overall finish to date in 2015, as he sits in third place behind Mark Winterbottom and Craig Lowndes respectively.

Reynolds says he is proud to make the next step in his career and lead a team.

“I am really looking forward to working with the Erebus team,” Reynolds continues.

“Together we have some amazing strengths that we need to harness, I know we can win together.”

Team Erebus Motorsport owner Betty Klimenko is thrilled with the signing.

“David is an exciting driver that has proven himself to be a title threat this year,” Klimenko explains.

“As we embark on our fourth season we needed to sign a driver that’s capable of positioning our cars up the front and David has proven he is capable of doing that. I have known David for almost 10 years and knew one day I would have him drive for me”.
