A TEENAGER has been arrested and charged after he allegedly kicked a three-year-old boy in the head in a truly shocking random attack in the heart of Sydney.

Police said the 18-year-old male bailed up a couple who were pushing their toddler son in a pram along King Street around 11.30pm on Friday and made repeated demands.

He was eventually found by security guards around an hour later acting erratically in Martin Place.

The teen was arrested and charged overnight with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
