“Education and training after school is becoming increasingly important for young students wanting to set themselves up. This is the perfect platform for them to learn about all the different options available to them, whether it be university courses, studies in film and TV, childcare, nursing or the emergency services,” she said.
“This year we expect a large contingent of adults looking for a career change to come along to the expo to also examine their options. These days, people change career paths several times and to do that, you have to look at how you can do that.
“Education is such an important element to the national economy and it is important people make the right choices when making such a commitment after school and later on in life.”
The Careers Expo is on Thursday May 8 from 9am until 7pm. Parking and attendance is free. For more information go to www.gccareersexpo.com.au
