Family concerned for missing Gold Coast man

There are concerns for the welfare of a Merrimac local, who has disappeared.

Police are hoping the public can help find Melvin Abbotsford-Smith (pictured below).

The 67-year-old was last seen at a residence on Bourton Road around 3pm on Friday, but has not been seen since.

Concerns are held for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 170cms tall and has a proportionate build.

He was last seen wearing a mustard coloured jacket, long trousers and had a blue backpack.
