Family foresight leads to Coolangatta man’s Lucky Lotteries win

A man from Coolangatta now believes in premonitions after discovering he won the $200,000 first prize in Monday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw – following his wife telling him this morning ‘something amazing is going to happen today, I can feel it’.

“I can’t believe it! I punched my ticket number into the website this morning and I saw all this confetti appear and it said I won $200,000,” he admitted.

“My first instinct was ‘this is a mistake’. So I punched my ticket number in again and it still said I won $200,000.

“I was in disbelief. I thought it couldn’t be right.

“I never expected it. When I bought the ticket, I thought if I won $100 I would be happy, so to hear I’ve won $200,000 is ridiculous!

“This is mad! It’s a game changer for us!”

The man said his wife had a premonition this morning that today would deliver them something extra special.

“Before my wife left the house this morning she said ‘I have a feeling it’s going to be a really good day. Something amazing is going to happen today, I can feel it’,” he explained.

“I feel as though it was a premonition! It doesn’t get much better than this!

“I can’t wait until she gets home so I can surprise her with this. I’ll buy a really fancy bottle of champagne and break the news!”

When asked how he planned to spend his Lucky Lotteries windfall, the Gold Coast man said he had already began dreaming of what he will do with his prize.

“I will take the whole family overseas to the United States this year,” he shared.

“We would also like to upgrade our house, or buy a really nice home on the beach. We love the beach, so that would be amazing for us.

“It really has come at the perfect time. This is awesome!”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of three random numbers at Coolangatta News & Lotto, Shop 2, 6 Griffith Street, Coolangatta.

Coolangatta News & Lotto owner Therese Doherty said she was thrilled the winner had been united with his prize.

“We are thrilled for the Coolangatta dad. It’s great news. We hope he enjoys his prize,” she said.

“We love delivering wins to our customers!

“The store has been extra busy with customers coming in to check their tickets, hoping they’ve won! We can’t wait to deliver more wins and make more dreams come true.”
