Family friendly fun planned for ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy arrival in Broadbeach

IN 2015, the ICC Cricket World Cup is set to return to Australia and New Zealand for the first time in 23 years.

To celebrate the competition returning down under, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Trophy will be travelling across Australia.

Next Wednesday, Broadbeach will welcome the trophy to the precinct with a whole lot of free family-friendly cricket activities throughout the day.

From 11am to 2:30pm, Gold Coasters will be able to get a photo with the trophy, test their batting and bowling skills and show their support to the 14 nations competing in the World Cup.

Former Australian World Cup Cricketer Jimmy Maher will also be on hand to build the excitement.
