Family Services has been called in after a Sydney father was charged with child neglect.
It’s alleged he left his three-year-old son in his car while he went into a pub on the Hume Highway in Yagoona on Saturday afternoon.
“About 3.40pm… the man allegedly left the child in the car and entered a licensed premises,” Police explained in a statement.

Police were called following reports the child was distressed and forced entry to the car where they rescued the young boy.
Further investigation led officers to the man’s nearby home, where he had allegedly left his two-year-old son alone.
The two children were taken to Bankstown Hospital for assessment.
The man has been charged with leave child in motor vehicle causing distress, neglect child in his care and resist arrest.
He was refused bail and is due to appear before Parramatta Local Court today.
Family and Community Services (FACS) were also notified of the incident.
