Father charged with breaching AVO after 3yo girl shot dead

UPDATE @ August 28 2017 11am: It’s been revealed the father of a young girl, shot dead in Sydney’s west, was allegedly breaching an AVO at the time of the shooting.

The three-year-old was fatally shot in the neck inside the family home in Lalor Park on Sunday night.

A 43-year-old Arncliffe man has since been charged with a number of firearm offences and contravening an apprehended violence order.

Initial reports suggest the girl fired the shot herself in what appears to be a tragic accident.

Earlier @ August 28 2017 8.30am: Emergency services were called to the home in Sydney’s Lalor Park just after 8pm on Sunday to find the three-year-old with a fatal gunshot wound to her neck.

Police remain at the scene on Danny Road with Detectives from Quakers Hill continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Footage shows the mother yelling at the girl’s father and placed in an Ambulance.

“I hate you! F### you!” she shouts as a man rocks back and forth in the gutter.

He was later taken away in the back of a Police van.

The woman is being treated for shock. It’s believed she was home at the time, as was the girl’s father and three other young children.
