A man is in custody after allegedly stabbing his father at Punchbowl, in Sydney’s south west, today.
Just after 11am, emergency services were called to Henry Street, following reports of a stabbing.
Officers arrived a short time later and found a man, believed to be aged in his 50s, with a number of stab wounds.

He has been taken to Liverpool Hospital with critical injuries.
The man’s son, who is believed to be aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene and has been taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he is assisting with inquiries.
A crime scene has been established and will be examined by specialist forensic officers.
Anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn’t yet spoken to police is urged to come forward.
