Father of Victorian toddler pleaded for help before her death

The father of a two-year-old girl found dead in her home in Victoria had reportedly pleaded with authorities to remove the girl.

Nick Coslovich sent a text message to a local support network worker pleading for help to save Nikki Francis-Coslovich and his three other daughters “b4 its too late”, the Herald Sun reports.

The toddler’s body was found inside the Mildura home on Tuesday evening, several hours after she was reported missing and the local community had turned out to help search.

Police won’t confirm reports that her body was found inside the roof cavity.

An autopsy has been completed and homicide detectives are reviewing the results

Mr Coslovich was interviewed by police on Tuesday night, and told them he had been trying to renegotiate care arrangements for the girls.

He said there was no history of violence in the home, though their mother had recently met a new boyfriend.
