Teen killed in horror Gold Coast hinterland crash
A 17-year-old boy has died following a serious crash at Cedar Creek in the Gold Coast hinterland.
Police were alerted to the accident near bushland off Quinzeh Creek Road around 1.45am this morning after a member of the public came across the crash site.
“Preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle was travelling in a north westerly direction when it left the road and crashed into a wooden power pole,” police said in a statement.
Despite desperate attempts by paramedics, the teenager died at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
