Fears held for woman travelling with ‘wanted’ man

There are concerns for the welfare of a woman from the far north coast of New South Wales, who is thought to be travelling with a man wanted over an assault.

Police say the alert was raised during investigations into an assault in Lismore on Friday.

“A 28-year-old man was assaulted in Rous Street by another male,” Police explained in a statement.

“The man was taken to Lismore Hospital and treated for head injuries.”

“Following inquiries police attended an address at Dunoon regarding the welfare of a woman who resides at the house.

“The woman was not able to be located and police are now concerned for her safety.”

Police say Hannah Schofield, pictured above, is believed to now be with Leon Edward King, also pictured, who now has a warrant out for his arrest.

Ms Schofield is described as 23-years old, 150 to 170cm tall with a medium build. She has a fair complexion with long dark hair.

Mr King, pictured left, is 28-years-old and described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Island appearance, approximately 185cm to 190cm tall, of a large build, with black hair, with a black beard and moustache.
