UPDATE @ 2.50pm: TWO men have been winched to safety after becoming lost in Mount Barney National Park during a severe storm overnight.
The men, one aged in his 20s and the other in his 50s, set off on Saturday morning and were due back on Sunday afternoon, however failed to return.
Police are understood to have established the location of the men, who are experienced bushwalkers, earlier today.

Around 1.30pm, the hikers were lifted to safety by the Rescue 500 helicopter.
EARLIER @ 10.25am: POLICE are coordinating a land and air search for two men after they failed to return from a two-day hike at Mount Barney National Park.
The men, one aged in his 20s and the other in his 50s, set off on Saturday morning and were due back on Sunday afternoon/evening.
After the pair failed to return overnight, police were notified.
Officers searched the area and located the men’s vehicle parked in the Cleared Ridge car park, however they were nowhere to be found.
Police say it’s understood the men are experienced bushwalkers however storms impacted the area last night.
Today’s aerial and land search will include Rescue 500, police and SES personnel.
