Embattled Transport Minister Stirling Hinchliffe has assured fed-up Queensland Rail commuters the latest revised timetable will deliver reliable and consistent services.
Rolled out this morning, the new scaled-back timetable comes after two-and-a-half weeks of commuter chaos across the state’s southeast, due to a driver and guard shortage.
Over 330 services were slashed from the timetable which was introduced in conjunction with the beginning of the new Redcliffe Peninsular line last month.

Following the disastrous few weeks, QR has seen its chief executive and chairman resign.
Mr Hinchliffe managed to keep his position despite consistent calls for his sacking, as well as his post as Commonwealth Games Minister.
He insisted the new timetable would be reliable and consistent, and allow for more drivers and guards to be trained in the meantime to eventually expand the network.
