Feds arrest fugitive couple south of border

A COUPLE who fled interstate after allegedly committing a series of crimes in Queensland were arrested by the Australian Federal Police south of the border on Monday.

My Daily News reports Anthony Broad was arrested on Monday for breaching bail and his girlfriend Rochelle Primo was detained on outstanding warrants.

Police allege a large amount of drugs were seized from the home in which the couple were staying in, including around 50-100L of a liquid used in the production of methamphetamine.

Broad’s parole was provoked in Tweed Local Court on Tuesday while Primo was extradited to Queensland to face Southport Magistrates Court at a later date.
