Female cyclist killed in freak collision with truck in Logan

A female cyclist died in a horror crash with a truck at Logan Central on Monday afternoon.

Initial investigations suggest that just after midday, a cyclist was travelling along Wembley Road near Station Road when she collided with a truck.

The cyclist, a Logan woman in her 40s, suffered critical injuries.

Despite desperate efforts by witnesses and paramedics, she could not be revived and died at the scene.

The driver of the truck was uninjured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and appealing for anyone with dashcam to come forward.
