Ferocious fire destroys house, damages another on Sydney street

NSW: POLICE are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a house and damaged a neighbouring property, a car part and two vehicles on a street in Sydney’s west overnight.

Emergency services were greeted by a ferocious fire after being called to reports of a house alight on Hill End Road at Doonside just before 12.30am.

Fire crews arrived to find a house fully engulfed in flames. Fortunately, the occupants had managed to self-evacuate before the inferno took hold.


The blaze was so fierce, a neighbouring property, a car port and two vehicles were also damaged. Luckily, no one was injured.

Police have confirmed investigators are treating the fire as suspicious. Investigations into the cause are continuing.

A crime scene has been established and will be examined later today.
