Ferocious fire engulfs Melbourne retirement home
Fire crews are currently working to extinguish a large fire which has engulfed a retirement home in Melbourne’s south-east.
The blaze is understood to have started at the building on Berwick-Cranbourne Road in Cranbourne East just after 1:00pm Wednesday.
Elderly residents have been evacuated from the village whilst firefighters continue to fight the flames.
People in the area have been urged to close all of their doors and windows to avoid smoke.
