A ferocious fire has broken out at one of the tallest residential buildings in the world, with firies working to battle the flames.

The massive blaze is understood to have fully engulfed the Torch Tower in Dubai, with confronting vision of the fire spreading fiercely throughout the building uploaded to social media.

“Terrifying to see Torch Tower, in the area I live in on fire now. Hope everyone gets out OK,” one person tweeted.

It’s the second time in just two years that the 82-floor residential skyscraper has caught fire.

There have been no reports of any injuries.

“No injuries have been reported so far in the Torch Tower fire incident,” Dubai government tweeted.

“Dubai Civil Defence has successfully evacuated the Torch Tower and is working to bring the fire under control”.
