The 25-year-old is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today, charged with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of possessing drug utensils, possessing property used in a drug crime and possessing a ‘Category R’ weapon.
“Finding gang members in possession of dangerous drugs and weapons is a regular occurrence for Taskforce Maxima,” Detective Inspector Brendan Smith said.
“The risk to community safety from weapons and the unlawful behaviour of criminal gangs is clearly self-evident.
“Members of the gang continue to offend with a number of arrests of recent weeks revealing their true nature. The community expect us to target offending behaviour and accordingly, we will be unrelenting in our efforts.”
Investigations are continuing into other offences with further charges expected.
