MULTIPLE fire crews have managed to get the upper hand on a large blaze burning in the Gold Coast hinterland.
Firies rushed to O’Reilly’s on Lamington National Park Road about 5.00am today following reports a metal structure had caught alight.
A Queensland Fire and Rescue spokesperson told myGC that the blaze was about 35m x 10m.

She said crews had the flames under control by 6am and remain on scene dampening down hot spots.
Luckily, no one was injured.
