Fire has destroyed two adjoining Queenslander homes in Brisbane’s inner west on Father’s Day.
A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with burns to his hands and suffering from smoke inhalation after the blaze broke out on Warmington Street in Paddington just before 6:00am.
Everyone who lives in the two homes were evacuated.

This resident lives next to one of the affected houses, and said “we’ve got windows all down the side and it was just bright orange, the house was already well alight within sixty seconds of hearing the smoke alarm, maybe a little more and it just spread so quickly”.
