Fire forces shoppers to flee Robina Town Centre

UPDATE @ 3.00PM | Fire crews have now extinguished a blaze that broke out in Robina Town Centre this afternoon.

The small electrical fire is understood to have started in the Supre store around 2.30pm.

The blaze forced the evacuation of the shopping centre.

Fire crews are now clearing smoke from the centre before shoppers are allowed to return.

Two people have been taken to hospital with minor smoke inhalation.

EARLIER @ 2.40PM | A fire has forced the evacuation of shoppers and staff from Robina Town Centre.

The small electrical is understood to have started in the Supre store just after 2.30pm.

QFES has three crews responding to the incident.

There are no reports of injuries at this stage.
