Investigations are underway after a fire broke out at a Gold Coast holiday resort in the early hours of this morning.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency spokesperson told myGC crews were called to the Treasure Island Holiday Resort in Biggera Waters just after midnight.
Upon arrival, they found a fire engulfing the verandah of one of the units along the Brisbane Road property.

The flames then spread to the inside of the unit, with the blaze taking firies almost two hours to douse.
Paramedics were also called to the scene and remained on standby for fire crews, but thankfully no one was injured.
Investigators will return to the property this morning, to determine exactly what caused the fire.
