It’s understood the flight crew requested emergency services be on standby as the aircraft came in to land at the domestic terminal shortly after 5pm.

It’s believed smoke from an unknown source began to fill the cabin, with three passengers reportedly suffering from smoke inhalation.

“Emergency crews responded as a precaution to a local standby. The flight has landed safely at Brisbane Airport,” The Brisbane Airport confirmed on Twitter.

Emergency vehicles have surrounded the aircraft on the tarmac.
