Fire warning after two men hospitalised with burns in Qld

With the weather well and truly dropping in temps, residents are being urged to be careful when dealing with fire after two men were rushed to hospital with burns overnight.

The first incident happened just after 7.00pm, at a home at Redbank Plains.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said a man reportedly tried to put accelerant onto a backyard fire when it erupted. The man suffered burns to his face and hands and was rushed to the  Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.


Just half an hour later, a man sustained burns to his arms, face and head after reportedly attempting to light a fire at a home in Sadliers Crossing.

He was treated by paramedics before being rushed to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.
