UPDATE at 6:30 PM | FIREFIGHTERS will remain on the scene of a fire burning in bushland at Robina overnight.
The blaze broke out within the Lake Orr Catchment Reserve, near the corner of Christine and Varsity Sound Avenues, about 12pm on Friday.
Firefighters have managed to get the upper hand on the fire, which is now contained and not threatening any property.

The blaze is likely to continue burning within containment lines overnight.
As a result, smoke may continue to affect the area.
Residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed and to keep their respiratory medications close by.
Motorists are also urged to drive to the conditions.
If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
FIRST at 2:20 PM | FIREFIGHTERS are back-burning around homes to help contain a fire burning in bushland at Robina.
The blaze broke out within the Lake Orr Catchment Reserve near the corner of Christine and Varsity Sound Avenues about 12pm on Friday.
Three fire trucks were on the scene, fighting the flames at 1:50pm. The Department of Fire and Emergency Services says the fire is not threatening any properties at this time.
Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and will be undertaking backburning operations in the area.
Residents are being told to close their windows and doors and to keep respiratory medications close by.
Traffic management is in place, so motorists should drive with caution and to conditions.
