The first weekend of schoolies celebrations concluded last night, with police generally pleased with the overall behaviour of school leavers.
Overnight there were 11 schoolies arrested on 17 offences, 8 of which were drug related.
Seven schoolies were issued with alcohol-related infringements.

Toolies managed to cause trouble during the festivities, with 23 non-schoolies arrested on 29 charges mostly related to public nuisance and drug possession.
Police are urging school leavers to remember the fatal consequences of possession and consumption of illegal drugs.
Drug detection dogs will be used throughout the celebrations, and police will not hesitate to take enforcement against anyone found in possession of dangerous drugs.
