Five hurt, including 11-year-old boy, after car hits tree in Sydney

Four people, including a young child, have been injured after the car they were in careered out of control and into a power pole in Sydney’s west on Friday night.

Police said the accident on Stacey Street at Bankstown at around 11.20pm.

The driver, a 50-year-old man was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment of lacerations and a possible fractured leg.


The other occupants – three women, aged 50, 21 and 18, and an 11-year-old boy – were all taken to Westmead Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or with information that may assist police is urged to come forward.
