Five international acts set to the hit the stage at Blues on Broadbeach 2018

Blues On Broadbeach organisers have today revealed some of the big name acts set to perform at next year’s event, including some international stars.

The first line-up announcement for the festival includes five international acts and more than 20 Australian favourites.

In a massive coup for Blues On Broadbeach, five time Grammy Award winner and Blues Hall of Famer Robert Cray will be returning to Australia with his band for the first time in more than a decade.

“It’s been awhile since we’ve been Down Under,” Cray said, “We’re really looking forward to coming back.”

Rounding out the international acts on the line-up are Eilen Jewell, Charlie A’Court, Southern Avenue and Kind Congo And The Pink Monkey Birds.

Aussie acts announced so far include The Screaming Jets, Backsliders, Lloyd Spiegel and Karl S. Williams to name a few.

Following packed out concerts for Diesel and Russell Morris for the 2016 and 2017 festivals, The Star will once again be hosting a free concert in the Theatre with Jon Stevens set to hit the stage on Friday May 18.

Festival Director Mark Duckworth said, “It’s great to see how much the Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival has progressed. The program continues to expand with more international acts, and venues like The Star contributing to the festival’s growth.”
