FIVE men have been taken into custody over the murder of a former Queensland man, whose body was found in bushland north of Taree.
The body of 41-year-old Tyron Beachamp was found in the Yarratt State Forest in December last year after firefighters extinguished a small blaze in the area.
A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Beauchamp had been seriously assaulted before his body was taken to the forest and set on fire.

It happened just days after he had received death threats on his social media.
Mr Beauchamp was originally from Queensland and had moved to the Taree area in mid-2018.
Following extensive investigations, strike force detectives, assisted by specialist tactical officers, arrested four men – 19, 22, 23 and 24 – at separate homes in Taree about 7am today.
They were taken to Taree Police Station where detectives also arrested a 42-year-old man just after 8.30am.
