Five people injured in horror Sydney dog attack

Five people have been injured in a dog attack in Sydney’s west today.

Police said that at about 1.00pm, emergency services were called to Fulton Avenue, Wentworthville, following reports two dogs were attacking a woman.

It’s believed an 81-year-old woman was walking along a footpath when she was attacked by two dogs.

Four witnesses including two men and two women rushed to the aid of the elderly woman however they were also attacked whilst trying to help.

All five were treated at the scene by paramedics. The elderly woman was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment of facial and body lacerations.

Police said the owner of the dogs has been located and the animals have been seized.

“Officers from Parramatta Local Area Command are investigating the incident and are liaising with local council,” NSW Police said in a statement.
