Five Queensland-based YouTube stars have today been announced as winners of the Qld Government’s Creator Originals prizes.
Sara Holmes, Elly Awesome, Tom Thum, Stephanie Hames and Alysse Paris, who between them have more than 500,000 subscribers and millions of video views, will share in $110,000 in prize money to help boost their creative careers after being announced as winners of the Creator Originals awards today.
“The Creator Originals awards are key to establishing Queensland as a market of choice for digital innovators and entrepreneurs,” Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade and Investment Jackie Trad said.

“They will enable our talented Queenslanders to take their ideas and skills to the next level and boost their worldwide audience.”
Queensland is the first state government in Australia to secure a partnership of this nature with YouTube.
“We are pleased to partner with the Queensland Government to nurture the current and next generation of YouTube creators from across the state, helping them continue the trend of Australian creators reaching global audiences through YouTube,” YouTube Content Partnerships Manager, Sanoop Luke said.
