Teens thrown from vehicle in horror stolen car crash in Ipswich

Five teenagers are in a serious condition after crashing an alleged stolen car in Ipswich early this morning.

Police say initial investigations suggest a black SUV wagon lost control and rolled while travelling on a dirt road near Chum Street in New Chum around 2am.

A number of the teens were thrown from the vehicle and were treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to hospital.

According to detectives, the vehicle was allegedly stolen from an Oxley address overnight.

Forensic Crash Unit and detectives from the Child Protection Investigation Unit and the Criminal Investigation Branch have now launched an investigation into the incident.
