MORE than half a dozen flights due to land or take off from the Gold Coast have been cancelled as severe thunderstorms lash Australia’s eastern states.
Five inbound flights – four from Sydney and one from Melbourne – have been cancelled, while four outbound flights – two bound for Melbourne and two for Sydney, have also been scratched.
It comes as severe storms lash both Sydney and Melbourne, triggering delays at both major airports.
