Food store targeted in armed robbery

POLICE are on the hunt for a man who help up a takeaway food store at Slacks Creek last night.

Just before midnight, a man entered the store on Kingston Road, armed with a knife, and made demands for money.

The store worker refused to hand over the cash and when another staff member walked over the thief left, making threatening gestures as he walked out of the store.


He got away empty handed and nobody was injured during the attempted heist.

Police are describing the would-be thief as being Caucasian in appearance, with a large build. He was wearing black clothes, a red and black cap and had his mouth and nose covered with a black bandana.
