Football star Lionel Messi has been given a 21-month prison sentence for tax fraud.
The 29-year-old and his father were sentenced in a Barcelona Court after being found guilty of three counts of tax fraud.
The pair are unlikely to serve any jail time however, with Spanish Law allowing prison terms of under two years to be served under probation, BBC reports.

According to local media, Messi and his father will be appealing the sentence.
Messi has been ordered to pay a fine of 2 million euros while his father has been fined around 5 million euros.
