A FORMER Finks bikie has appeared in court on an extortion and serious assault charge from an offence allegedly committed on the Gold Coast 10 years ago.
The 40-year-old man was arrested on his release from prison in Victoria last week and extradited to Queensland.
He appeared in Southport Magistrates Court this morning on charges of demanding property with menace and grievous bodily harm.

The offences were allegedly committed at Mermaid Beach on July 15, 2004.
He will remain behind bars before reappearing again on July 29.
Acting Detective Superintendent Terry Lawrence of Taskforce Maxima said the background to the extradition was another example of the true nature of criminal gangs.
“The brutality of these alleged crimes is yet another example as to why these gangs need to be eliminated from our community,” he said.
“The additional resources and legislation provided as part of the whole of government response to tacking these gangs is providing a tremendous platform for us to hold these people accountable.
“We intend to continue sending the very clear message to CMG members that you cannot expect to act with impunity.
We encourage all members of the public who have suffered at the hands of a CMG member to come forward with their complaint.”
