Former netball coach charged, after allegedly sexually touching underage girls

A former Sydney netball coach is facing multiple charges, after allegedly sexual touching three underage girls over the last year.

The 70-year-old was arrested at Kogarah Police Station on Friday, following extensive investigations which began back in October.

A search warrant was subsequently executed at a home at Beverly Hills, where officers seized documentation.

Police will allege in court that the man sexually touched three teenage girls – then aged between 12 and 15 – at netball courts in Sydney’s south between March 2019 and September 2020.

The former netball coach has now been charged with eight counts of intentionally sexually touch child (between 10 and 16 years) and attempt intentionally sexually touch child (between 10 and 16 years).

He appeared briefly in court last Friday, where he was granted strict conditional bail to reappear on January 19, 2021.

Investigations under Strike Force Biscoe are continuing.
