Former priest charged with sexually assaulting teen boy at Sydney school
A former priest has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage boy at a school in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs 30 years ago.
The 74-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday and charged with three counts of sexual assault after detectives launched an investigation into the reported assaults.
It’s believed they occurred at a school in Waverley between 1986 – 1990.
“They relate to the alleged assault of a teenage boy on a number of occasions,” NSW police said in a statement.
The man has been refused bail to appear before Waverley Local Court on 26 October.
