Former Qld State of Origin footballer sentenced following drunken rampage
FORMER State of Origin footballer Carl Webb has been sentenced to 18-months’ probation following a drunken rampage in March this year.
Webb appeared in the Cairns Magistrates court today, charged with wilful damage, threatening violence and three counts of entering a dwelling with intent.
The court heard that Webb allegedly threatened neighbours and jumped on the bonnet of a car during the rampage in Cairns.
Webb played for Queensland in 12 State of Origin matches from 2001 to 2008.
